There are lots of ways to use the new effects that are part of the Live 8 upgrade. This video demonstrates how to use Ableton Live 8's Corpus effect to add a nice sub bass layer to your bass sound. It also shows how to use the MIDI sidechain section of the effect. Make sure your speakers have a good bass response to hear the effect shown in this video. Enjoy!
